Mr. West is in the building! Why must Kanye do this? No, really... Kanye always does this.
Much like Vegans announcing that they're vegan, I will always proclaim that my favorite Kanye album is "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," there is not an album that can top that. Not even College Drop Out. The Life of Pablo premiered last weekend on Tidal. That shocked me too, but I went ahead and subscribed (shout out to free trials). I saw pictures of the Yeezy Season 3 event, and felt confused about its purpose. It all just seemed so... sloppy. I wonder if anyone that attended the even enjoy it?
The craziest Kanye, is Kanye's best - that is always subject to change.
I was in Toronto this past weekend for All Star Weekend, and on our way back home we decided to bless ourselves with the masterpiece that is, Swish, Waves, The Life of Pablo. We sat in silence as we embarked on our journey.
Here is my disclaimer: I I, just like you cringe when I read or hear some of the thing Kanye says. This is not in support of that tomfoolery. Bless up.
The opening song is "Ultralight Beam," and instantly I am in a state of enamor. Sixty seconds later my life changed. I was feeling a bit tired while driving, but suddenly I feel wide awake. A woman's vocals graced the track, and a I searched my brain to identify it. I later found it was Kelly Price. I silently thanked her for gracing the track. Kanye said this would be a gospel album, and I paid that no mind. He might have been on to something. I will discuss my favorite tracks going forward, but Ultralight Beam" deserved the first discussion. Oh, yeah, Kirk Franklin is on the song as well. I felt complete.
I am done stanning for this song.
Everyone is now upset about Kanye's comment about Taylor Swift , and I honestly do not care. We already know Kanye is a habitual line stepper. Is that not expected? Not condoning what he said, but I did laugh, so maybe I am condoning it. I did think that he and Taylor were cordial after that VMA skit, lol. She addressed being mentioned in her Grammy Award acceptance speech, and America will eat that right up.

Hate him if you want, the man's music is great. I will admit he makes it hard to be a fan of his, but I can not, and will not discount his musical genius. Actually, I won't even entertain an argument on his music. All is not sweet of the world of Kanye, though. What I do have an issue with is Kanye tweeting his decision not to stream his album through any other provider, but Tidal. Remember when Kanye didn't tweet? Tidal is cool, but my trial period ends in less than 30 days. Listening to "Ultralight Beam," and "30 Hours" are rituals for my morning commute to work. Stop playing games, 'Ye! Just like my girl, Sweet Brown, ain't nobody got time for that!
As much as Kanye stresses the world out, "The Life of Pablo" is still great. I can't help but to wonder what the other track list would sound like. Can we get a part 2? Maybe we will never know. I'm a greedy music fan, man. We don't deserve to be teased like that.
So, here we are with the highly anticipated album. Do we love it? Did you hear it?
Everyone's favorite track: Ultralight Beam
Mine: Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2. I know, Kanye is barely on it. And it is a clear sample of Desiigner's Panda, but man, it does something. Maybe, I am caught up in the popular sounds of Future.
Runner Up: 30 Hours (tied for first,) and Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.
Least Favorite: Waves.
