Happy birthday to me! Today I'm 23, but I'm feeling 22, haha.
I'm enjoying the influx of Facebook wishes. The best Facebook feature. I feel the love on this day.
But, yeah. 23 years ago today. Reading that may make you feel young, old, or you may not even give a damn. I mean, that's fine too.
As I come into this new age there's a lot I want to do going forward. Far too much to name, but I have a plan on how to carry it all out. God willing I'll complete all I have set to do.
Naturally I'd like to tell you about the things that I have accomplished or what I'm proud of, but today that seems like bragging. There's many more things to be proud of.
I'm grateful to be free. The 4th of July was 5 days ago, but I'm not talking about that type of free. I'm not imprisoned behind bars. I can walk freely without questions - typically, at least. I'm lucky to have made it to 23 without being a victim of harassment or police brutality or discrimination. I consider that lucky. Don't you?
I'm alive and healthy. Maybe a bit overweight, but I'm steel here. LOL! Considering the prevalence of gun violence, I am grateful that I have survived long enough to be able to appreciate life.
I'm grateful for my friendships. Old and new. Current or of the past.
You, the reader - I'm grateful for you. This blog is a dream come true. This is not meant to be mushy but more to show my appreciation on this day. Thank you.
Happy birthday to me. Here's to 23 + more.
